Four Minutes

FOUR MINUTES before our scheduled hearing, and no attorney in sight. . .
FOUR MINUTES of just sitting at a long table, in a small hushed room, before the "so-serious" trustee. . .
FOUR MINUTES more, and a whole week of worrying--FINALLY OVER.
I feel light hearted. Glad it's all over.
Thanks to everyone who lifted us up in prayer! We're ready to start a new leg of our journey -- with a slate wiped CLEAN!
I felt dreadfully panicked, studying the sidewalk from our tenth story window for any sign of a well-dressed ant, looking anything like our very late help. He finally arrived through the elevator doors, huffing and puffing, with seconds to spare.
FOUR MINUTES of just sitting at a long table, in a small hushed room, before the "so-serious" trustee. . .
My cell phone rang! Jennifer, calling from home to check in! A very perturbed judge asked me to turn the phone off.
FOUR MINUTES more, and a whole week of worrying--FINALLY OVER.
I couldn't stop giggling, probably from pure relief. EVERYTHING to me was funny. Just thinking about the intrusive cell call again. Our attorney recommending a new ring tone after the hearing was over--whipping out his NFL ring tone for us all to hear. Rich, not being able to get the parking ticket into the machine so we could leave. Reliving those last few moments before our attorney arrived, him waddling at break-neck speed (a turtle's pace) to make it to our hearing on time.
God bless him!
I feel light hearted. Glad it's all over.
Thanks to everyone who lifted us up in prayer! We're ready to start a new leg of our journey -- with a slate wiped CLEAN!
It is finished...Thanks be to God!
